Art Meets the Desert: A Journey Along the Sculpture Trail
This two-hour spectacular tour combines a variety of activities.
The Sculpture Trail was created by a pair of Kibbutz artists, Marga Fishstein and her husband Yisrael, in partnership with the Jewish National Fund. The top Israeli artists were invited to display their sculptures along the sides of the road and surrounding hills, creating an artistic dialogue amid the desert environment.
The trail also incorporates archeological sites, picnic grounds, a spectacular panoramic view, and a military camp from the Six Day War. This tour also includes a visit to the Jojoba fields, where you will learn about growing and producing plants as oil for the cosmetics industries. This tour also can integrate visits to other sites in the area, and we highly recommend that you extend your visit for a front-row seat of the stunning sunset.
